The Vagus Street Project was the dream of Joshua Braintree. A visionary architect, artist and mystic who designed the housing complex for the city’s growing impoverished and disenfranchised population.

Severe budget cuts and Braintree’s many eccentricities meant that within a decade of its creation the housing project had turned into one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the United States.

By the 1960’s it was the site of one of the worst race riots in American history and was closed by the federal government.

Decades later during one of the worst financial crises in American history the surprisingly still standing complex was reopened for a newly itinerant population.

But the secrets of the Vagus Street Project have not rested quietly in the intervening years as its new residents are about to learn.

Vagus Street is an original web comic created by Jennifer and John Myers. It tells the story of a housing complex that briefly became the home for hundreds of displaced individuals. And then it became the worst place on Earth. Now it is gone.

John is currently spending the majority of his time writing Terra-Farmers, while I (Jenn) am spending ALL of my time working on Era of Great Wonders. While I have the first four pages ready for the second Vagus story, I am leery of posting them without knowing when I will have time to continue updating them. If you would like to be notified when Vagus starts uploading again, please consider joining our email newsletter – we’ve been working on a lot of things, and we’d love to share them with anyone that’s interested!
